The bold Titanic 2 ship project was announced on the 30 April 2012 by Clive Palmer. Since then a lot of people and companies joined the recreation of the RMS Titanic ship. Steve Hall, a Titanic expert, had been chosen to be Historian and Design Consultant of the Titanic 2 ship project and Daniel Klistorner – Historian and Interior Design Consultant. The appointments were announced in October 2012 by Blue Star Line. The Titanic 2 ship project will be supported by an advisory board who will ensure that ”the Titanic II appropriately and respectfully pays homage to Titanic.” Among the famous members of the board are the great-granddaughter of Margaret ‘Molly’ Brown, RMS Titanic survivor, and the great-great nephew of Bruce Ismay.
Deltamarin Ltd Participation in the Titanic 2 Ship Project
The scope of work for the contract includes the establishment of project steering committees and a management team. Deltamarin will be responsible for coordinating the various parties involved in the project including the shipyard, architects, interior designers and operations managers.” Clive Palmer
Blue Star Line Ltd announced the Deltamarin Ltd participation in the Titanic 2 ship project in April 2013. The Finnish naval architecture company will be responsible for the design of the ship. The preliminary general arrangement covers all the aspects of building the RMS Titanic ship replica. The contact has already been signed with defined dates of events like the start of the construction and the laying of the keel.
The architects from Deltamarin will have to ensure that the Titanic 2 ship project is in compliance with all the regulations for safety. The new Titanic should be a 21st technological ship with the newest safety and navigational systems and should offer her passengers the trendiest amenities.

According to the contact, the Finnish company will coordinate the participants in the Titanic 2 ship project.
Tillberg Design Participation in the Titanic 2 Ship Project

Blue Star Line Ltd announced the Tillberg Design participation in the Titanic 2 ship project in May 2013. The Swedish company will be responsible for the architectural and design services for the ships’ interior. According to the contract, Tillberg Design first should provide interior drawings. The Titanic 2 ship project is intended to resemble the original as much as possible. The Swedish company will design the Café Parisian, the accommodation for all classes, the first class lounge, the modern features on the safety deck, the grand staircase and the smoking room. The titanic 2 ship project will differ by some third class modernizations and due to fire regulations the original wooden panelling will be replaced by veneers. This have already been done in Queen Elizabeth 2.

According to one of the partners and also a senior Tillberg architect, Frederik Johansson, the participation in the Titanic 2 ship project is trilling, prestigious and exiting for the Swedish company.
Lloyd’s Register Participation in the Titanic 2 Ship Project

Blue Star Line has engaged Lloyd’s Register to review key design drawings, calculations and studies for Titanic 2 against relevant rules and regulation. This will include class rules and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) aspects which relate to the structure, stability and safety of Titanic 2.” Clive Palmer
Blue Star Line Ltd announced the Lloyd’s Register participation in the Titanic 2 ship project in July 2013. The maritime classification society and independent risk management organization will review the safety and design feature of the new Titanic ship.
Blue Star Line choose Lloyd’s Register because their experience is over 250 years. The studies, the calculations and the design drawings of Titanic 2 ship project will be fully reviewed in order to strengthen the replica vessel.
The Lead Specialist with Lloyd’s Register’s Passenger Ship Support Centre in the UK, Paul Nichols, stated that the organization was very proud with the Titanic 2 ship project assignment. He added that the cooperation with Deltamarin and Tilberg Design would ensure the safety of the new vessel.
The Titanic 2 ship project construction phase will be in China. The maiden voyage is planned for 2016 with route Southampton to New York.
